The caravans are sited at Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park next to the Famous Heated Outdoor Swimming Pool and Indoor Leisure Centre and close to the Stonehaven Golf Course.
Just a few minutes walk from the Caravan Park is where the oldest known air-breathing land animal: a tiny millipede that lived 428 million years ago was discovered on the Shore at Cowie.The fossil, Pneumodesmus newmani, is a 1 cm long fragment of millipede arthropod. You can see an Exhibition of this at the Tolbooth Museum.
There is a Boardwalk which takes you to the Harbour at the other end of town. This is a popular walk and sometimes dolphins can be seen in Stonehaven Bay.

How to find us
From the North, take the slip road to Stonehaven from the A90 , pass the Golf Club.
When you reach the mini roundabout go straight ahead then take the first left. The Bowling Club is on your right.
To reach the Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park you carry on towards the sea and turn left travelling behind the Open Air Pool until you see the entrance to the Caravan Park.
From the South travelling on the A90 watch for the signs for Stonehaven and take the third turn off from the dual carriageway. This road will take you to the mini roundabout mentioned above. Take a right from there to head into Stonehaven and follow the directions as above.
